How to create a dump file on Task Manager
If you have a problem while using an application program, you may create a dump file storing the information on the process and send it to the app's developer. It would be greatly helpful to the developer diagnosing and fixing the problem.
Create a dump file on Task Manager as follows:
- Open Task Manager when the problem occurs on the app, for example, when the app displays an error message or becomes not responding.
- From the process list of Task Manger, right-click the app where the problem occurs and select the Create dump file.
- The created dump file usually has a very large file size. Compress the dump file and send the file to the app's developer by email, wit the description of when and how the problem occurs.
